How to delete a workgroup

Unwanted workgroups cannot be deleted while they contain files, however ContactsLaw provides a mechanism to move all files, document types and templates en masse to another workgroup, thus allowing the old workgroup to be removed from the system. Note that all products on the workgroup must be moved or deleted before this process can be performed.
 
At the workgroup level, ensure any products that you wish to retain are transferred to the new workgroup, and any unused products are deleted. This is done via the management tab. To edit a product, right click on it and amend the workgroup to which it belongs. Discontinued products must also be transferred as part of this process.
 
Once you have completed this step, at the practice level:
  • Under the Workgroups heading, click "Manage".
  • Right click on the workgroup you wish to remove and click delete.
  • ContactsLaw will prompt to reallocated files (active and archived) to an existing workgroup.
  • Select your desired workgroup and click ok.
The old workgroup will be completely removed from the system. All historical performance statistics will be rolled into the new workgroup.
