In ContactsLaw, the mailout opt-in activity is used to enlist contacts in an opt-in mailout. Once enlisted, a contact will receive a series of documents or telephone calls according to the schedule defined in the mailout.
The activity prompts for the contact and allows the user to select from a list of eligible mailouts. You cannot enlist a contact in a mailout which has concluded or not yet started. If a contact has opted out of a mailout, it will be available to select again should they re-enlist; the schedule will commence again from the beginning.
A warning will be displayed if the contact has opted out of all marketing communications. You should only proceed with enlistment with explicit consent from the contact.
