In ContactsLaw, the task composer is used to create new tasks for activities which have not yet commenced. It can also be used to create tasks to perform document workflows.

Selecting an activity (or document workflow) is the starting point for task creation. Each type of activity has its own particular options that can be configured. Some tasks can be directed at a particular record (i.e. a contact, file, document, etc) while others are limited to creating new items only.

All tasks have provision to set priority, start/due dates and delegate to a member or group. A distinction can also be drawn between normal tasks and appointment-style tasks, the latter of which always have a start date and duration.

For most activities, ContactsLaw will provide an automatic title for its tasks. You can provide a more specific title, along with a set of remarks to give members further detail about how to complete the task.
