A document may have a combination of the following attributes:

Uncatalogued
Indicates that the document has not undergone the process of cataloguing and is therefore in a sub-optimal state. Although the document may be edited or sent in this state, best practices dictate that documents should be catalogued before they are used within the system.

Final
Indicates that the document is in its final form. Finalised documents cannot be modified.

Copy
Indicates that the document is a copy of a document, as opposed to an original. This is of particular relevance for scanned documents.

Discoverable
Indicates that the document may appear in a discovery.

Without prejudice
Indicates that the document is privileged. This attribute cannot be set in conjunction with "discoverable".

Archived
Indicates that the document has been moved to the long-term document archive. Even if not finalised at this stage, it is relatively safe to assume that the document will undergo no further edits.

Redacted
Indicates that the document is a redacted copy of some other document. Redacted copies are not displayed in the document explorer by default, but can be displayed beside the original documents via an option on the ribbon.
