In
ContactsLaw, each
member who receives a salary/wage from
The Practice has a set of options governing how they are treated by the payroll system. These are
date-dependant settings (taking effect on a particular date), permitting forward-dated changes and maintaining a complete audit trail. If changes take effect part-way through a pay period, the most recent set of changes will be applied to the entire pay period.
Settings
The settings are arranged into four basic groups:
Employment
Determines the
type of employee, their salary/rate-per-hour, payment method, performance target and entitlements. Most of these settings are controlled by practice-level defaults.
Superannuation
TFN declaration
Captures the member's Tax File Number and mirrors the set of questions on the TFN declaration form. The information on this screen assists in calculating amounts withheld from pay.
Leave adjustments
Used when transitioning into ContactsLaw to enter opening balances for annual leave, sick leave, public holiday leave and long service leave. This mechanism can also be used to adjust a member's leave balances at any point in time.
Rolling back changes
You can remove a set of forward-dated changes at any time. Removing current or previous settings may have a negative effect on previously-recorded payments.
