In
ContactsLaw, every
file has a
manager; the
member who primarily takes responsibility for the matter and who is involved in its day-to-day management. The file manager is implicitly given full
permissions to the file, as well as the ability to control access for other members.
In many
tasks and
activities, the file manager is a specially-recognised role to whom you can delegate work, send notifications or request access from.
During
file creation, the workgroup determines the default file manager. In the absence of a default, the member creating the file is used. The ability for a member to be nominated as a file manager in a particular workgroup is controlled by
workgroup permissions.
